How it all started...
Hello, my name is Debbie Norton, and I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for taking a moment to read my story.
After the passing of both my mother and father, whom I had the privilege of caring for in their final years, I experienced a deep sense of loss and emptiness.
Driven by a lifelong commitment to helping those in need, I founded Guardian Angel Senior Transition Services in 2020 in Edgewater, Florida. Alongside my daughter, we provide compassionate, comprehensive support to seniors navigating life transitions. Our services extend far beyond packing, decluttering, and donations—we prioritize meaningful connection by offering companionship, transportation to medical appointments, shopping assistance, and other essential aid to help preserve dignity, independence, and quality of life.
Over the years, I have received numerous heartfelt calls from seniors facing significant hardships. Many struggled to afford basic necessities, including assistance with relocation, reliable transportation, medical equipment, supplies, nutritious meals, grocery shopping, prescription retrieval, or simply the comfort of companionship. It has been deeply painful to respond, “I’m truly sorry, but as a for-profit business, our resources are limited—though I will do everything possible to help in other ways.” Each such conversation strengthened my resolve: meaningful change was needed to bridge this gap.
One day, while making repeated trips to donate items on behalf of a client, inspiration struck. Why not establish a non-profit thrift store? Proceeds could directly fund essential support for seniors in our community, creating a sustainable way to make a lasting impact.
Our clients have responded with remarkable warmth and enthusiasm, many expressing eagerness to contribute—some even volunteering their time. This outpouring of support has enabled us to fill multiple storage units with donated goods. We use these items to meet immediate needs where possible; when specific requests cannot be fulfilled directly, we sell the donations to generate funds for other forms of assistance.
We are filled with innovative ideas and a steadfast determination to enhance the well-being of seniors throughout our community, ensuring they can age safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
As we advance through the detailed process of establishing this non-profit organization, it has become evident that success will require collective effort and community partnership.
Thank you sincerely for standing with us as we transform this vision into reality: opening a non-profit thrift haven and expanding services to uplift seniors in need.
In loving memory of my mother, father, and sister—their enduring presence continues to guide and inspire me.

"The simple act of caring is heroic."
